The Phoenix at Hartley Wintney

New year's day once again gave the opportunity to take the cars for their first outing. We joined a local meeting at The Phoenix at Hartley Wintney Hants with many interesting cars  This year the R16s were represented by Paul, Gary and Jacqueline.  John and Lorraine displayed Their recently acquired R8S while Roland and Gill brought their 4CV.

Alexandria Palace 2007

On his first outing as Events coordinator Jeff Sassin constructed an excellent club stand .We were limited to two vehicles so Jeff chose the 4CV of Roland Poole and his own Alpine 110 representing  two quite different aspects of our club.

Castle Combe Classic Car Action day

At Last the sun was shining and we had an excellent turn out for this popular event. Dave Wheeler took the opportunity to test his new engine on the Track while pat's gord failed the noise test and he had to stand down. 10cars did manage to take part in the parade laps at lunch time.

Ardingly Vintage vehicle Show

The previous weeks poor weather resulted in the show organizers deciding to put the car clubs inside this year.

Once again Stewart and Michelle had planed the weekend well and we enjoyed an excellent barbecue on Saturday evening.

Classics at the Castle Sherborne

This was our first visit to this event at Sherborne Castle. Although a smaller event than some we attend the venue was delightful with rolling hills in the background and the castle and the grounds to explore. There was and auto jumble and a good craft fair for those less interested in the cars.

Members had a discount entry price to the castle of £2 and for those of you did not attend this year it is well worth the visit next time.

Wroughton 2007

This event continues to improve and for the first time was a full weekend event a number of our members camped from Friday to Sunday evening and also visited the local pub and fish and chip shop.

The auto jumble was improved from last year and of course the science museum on site proved very popular with is motoring and aviation history.

Renault World Series Donington Park 2007

This year was perhaps the best of the series so far with the weather being kind a good position to watch the racing and an excellent gala dinner on the Saturday evening. The club again performed well having 10 wins in the concourse competition.

The following pictures were taken by Mal Emsden  who kindly supplied them for our use
