Weekly or when Refuelling check /top up engine oil Check /top up windscreen washers Check /top up radiator Check /top up Battery Check top up brake fluid Check tyre pressures / clean windscreen Every 3000 miles as above plus Change engine oil top up gearbox oil Check tyres for wear or damage check for evidence of oil water fuel and exhaust leaks Every 6000 miles As above plus Change oil filter element check/adjust clutch cable Change gearbox oil check/ adjust wheel bearings Clean crank case breather cap check /adjust brakes Clean PCV valve and hoses check disc pads for wear clean carburettor jets and float bowl check operation of rear self adjust mechanism Clean fuel bowl filter Adjust valve clearances Check auto transmission fluid check adjust carburettor mixture and idling Lubricate distributor check /adjust drive belt tension Clean and grease battery terminals clean and re gap spark plugs Check front suspension tighten all bolts check / adjust dwell angle Check steering linkage for wear tighten all bolts check /adjust ignition timing Check adjust handbrake linkage check steering geometry Check manifold and exhaust bolts check all lights and instruments Check exhaust system for leaks and security check /adjust headlamp alignment Every 18000 Miles as above plus Drain and refill automatic transmission drain flush and refill cooling system with antifreeze Replace air filter element Tighten all hose clips Other items every 28000 miles clean repack and adjust front and rear hub bearings
